Kristi Growdon: Executive Director

“The relationship between energy creation, distribution, and uses fascinates me.”  Kristi Growdon joined Element 8 in September 2014, bringing more than 20 years of leadership positions in government, academia and the private sector.  She is experienced in assisting start-ups, as well as small- to medium-sized companies.

Kristi bring a deep resume and skill set to Element 8. Past roles include the Director of the Washington State University Energy Office and the in-house lobbyist for WSU. Prior to that, her decade of service to federal and state agencies focused on advocacy in the fields of energy, renewable resources, agriculture, and transportation.

“My background in energy, agriculture and technology, coupled with my passion for clean technologies, make my new role at Element 8 a perfect fit,” said Growdon. “I look forward to working closely with our existing members as well as continuing the growth trajectory of the organization through bringing in new members and  great investment opportunities.”

Kristi is always happy to discuss her excitement about the future of clean technology over a fine glass of Washington-grown Cabernet, or on a round at her favorite golf course.

“The relationship between energy creation, distribution, and uses fascinates me. I am always looking for the next insight, invention and implementation of clean technologies that will help humans address the sustainable challenges facing the world today.”
